A Class || Kai and Suzy

Kai didn’t really have much of a motive for coming out tonight besides boredom. He was starting to frequent clubs more often now, despite his resolution not to. The late nights drained the energy that he needed the next day for work. But he couldn’t help it; he couldn’t stay away. He got bored too easily and the thrill of being at a club was addicting. It was a bad habit, going out every night and coming back late. He shook his head and continued dancing to the beat of the music, letting the sound overtake him. The problem seemed to dilute. He’ll regret it later, but the effects of the pumping music and dancing bodies around him wasn’t allowing him right now. Oh well.

Feeling thirsty, he gradually stopped dancing and walked to the bar, taking a seat. Kai ordered a beer and faced the dance floor, watching the bodies move. He was at his usual club, the one he already claimed his since his friends ran it and let him do whatever he pleased. He remembered them asking him if he wanted to be a co-owner, too, but he declined. He couldn’t have his parents find out he was running a club, much less the public. It would ruin their company’s image, thus losing profit and cutting off Kai’s endless supply of money. Plus, it wasn’t like Kai needed the money, his friends did. Instead, Kai chose to fund the project and in return, they let him do whatever to it. He didn’t want to take advantage of it, so all he requested in return was a drink of his own, called the Knock Out, and the permission to rule the place. They let him, of course, and now, here he was, watching over his kingdom like a king would. King Jong In, it has a nice ring to it.

Black Pearl || Yoona and Kai

agent-imyoona:

She shook her head at his wild club ideas. Talking to Kai wouldn’t make one think he was a serious weaponry agent, which often landed him in trouble with her when he was still a new recruit. She looked back at the bouncer and grinned, testing if he was the same one she knew years ago. Unfortunately, he wasn’t her old friend from back then. “This is going to have to resort to drastic measures, I’m afraid…” she muttered as she pressed a few buttons from her almighty phone before returning it to her purse. Just as she directed, fire and water started erupting from random random corners of the club and the DJ’s music got out of control. “How’s that for an infiltration idea?”

“Your move, kid,” she replied as she watched the chaos unfold. It was Kai’s call whether he wanted to come along with her or keep himself safe. As much as her sanity would prefer the latter, that scared little part of her wished for the former. Her eyes widened as she pretended to run for her life, when she was actually just waiting for the guards on duty to get away from their posts and inspect the chaos. Patience, Im… After what she felt like was forever, she noticed a huge amount of guards, both from the club and those from somewhere else abandon their posts. This was it. She made a run for the stairs and didn’t bother looking back to see if Kai had her back. It would have been suspicious that way. She crept up the stairs to see that security had been completely abandoned. She paced back a little bit and came in contact with what she perceived was a male’s chest. “Kkamjjong, please tell me this person behind me is you…” she whispered as she readied her heels in case this person behind her wasn’t friendly.

Kai stayed a few paces behind Yoona rather than directly because it’d be suspicious. He watched from behind a couple as she tested to see if the bouncer was the person she knew, but she failed, seeing how she whipped out her phone and started pressing buttons. There was water was spraying from the ceiling and fire was erupting from random spots in the club. The music was no longer within the DJ’s control nor was the club in the security’s. Everything was now controlled by Im Yoona and her little phone over there. It was admirable, really. He heard Yoona’s voice over the chaos and replied just loud enough for her to hear, “Perfect.” Kai had trained his ears to only listen to certain things but tune out others. It came in handy.

The couple that was in front of him started to panic and run along with the frantic crowd of the club. Most were too high or drunk to even know what was happening; others were just running for their dear lives. Security was shouting to control the chaos but was getting no where. It was perfect. He played along, eyes widened in panic and ran around as he waited until Yoona finished checking the stairs. Seeing that security was busy, he stopped and walked to her. A guy intercepted him and stopped right between them, facing Yoona. He was tall, kinda buff and a little intimidating, but Kai was too annoyed to care. The man was in his way, interrupting what would have been a perfect walk to Yoona accompanied with a cunning, sly remark. But no, he ruined it. “Kkamjjong, please tell me this person behind me is you…” Kai heard Yoona whisper. He shook his head and quickly found the man’s pressure point, knocking him out. Kai caught him just before he fell so it wouldn’t be as loud, though it probably wouldn’t even be heard over the panicked noise of the club. “Well, I wish I could say it was me, Noona, but nah, I can’t. That was just some random guy, probably security. Don’t worry though, I knocked him out,” he said and nudged the body with his foot. No reaction. “I guess I can’t just leave you here by yourself, so I’ll join this adventure as your back up,” he gave her a grin.

What is Love || Jonghyun & Kai

gunman-jonghyun:

“You know what, let’s just shut up. We’re so pathetic talking about this but not doing anything about it.” Jonghyun stood up, the brief mention of parents made Jonghyun shudder. He still remembered what he did and it was okay if Kai misunderstood but the last thing he’d do is to tell anyone about his past. Jonghyun wasn’t keeping his own promise when he said he’ll be as closed up as possible and the last thing he would want is for anyone to know his secret. He would have betrayed himself, and probably lead himself to self-destruction.

“Well, whatever, I can always listen to your problems as a return for you to listening to me but whatever can return the favor, just come to me… I’m gonna sleep again. I hate all these problems clouding my mind.” Jonghyun shrugged.

Kai nodded, “Okay, I’ll see if I ever need someone to talk to. Just don’t disappear on me before I can use this to my advantage.” He got up from his position on the floor and watched Jonghyun leave, closing the door with a thud as Kai is left alone in the shooting range. Kai checked the time. Was it too early to go party? It was only 3. Nah, he thought as he scrolled through his messages, looking for a worthwhile party to attend. There had to be a pool party in one of them.

Black Pearl || Yoona and Kai

agent-imyoona:

“Honestly, among you 12 babies, Wu Fan and Joonmyun were the only ones who suffered the least beatings from me,” Yoona snickered, “probably why Sooman-nim made them your leaders… Which reminds me, have you heard from any of the others?” As much as Kai was the one she could call her favorite, she had a soft spot for all 12 boys in that team she helped mentor. When she heard that half of them were sent to China, she regretted not being able to attend their goodbye party since she was on a mission with her teammates. “When they see a beat-up kid hosting their welcoming party, the beat-up kid can blame the pretty noona with him and they won’t wonder any more. And tell those teammates of yours who aren’t in China to come and see me… You overgrown brats…”

As they watched the man disappear to up the stairs, Yoona groaned when she saw that there was some sort of password the two men exchanged before he was allowed up. “Looks like it, but I already have a mini-distraction set up for that guard.” She had bugged several of the club’s smoke systems to catch fire the moment she pressed a certain button. She looked at that guard one more time. He looked like one of the club’s bouncers she was in good terms with back in college. “Hang on, Kkamjjong.” she ordered. “If this guard is who I think he is, then we might get a way around this without resorting to drastic means.” In case this didn’t work, she still knew everything in this club like the back of her hand and she had bugged all tech booths to come to life to have one hell of a chaotic dance party so she could break in and enter.

Kai rolled his eyes at the mention of Wu Fan and Joonmyun. “Kiss ups…” he muttered under his breath. It was a joke of course. Wu Fan and Joonmyun were always pretty good and responsible and well, they were just natural leaders. Even before Lee Sooman assigned them as their leaders, they were already fulfilling the role. They were stern when the rest were acting up and caring when they needed a shoulder to lean on. Exo was honestly like a family; everyone looked out for each other. Kai shrugged, “I would if I could, Noona. I don’t even know where they are though or where Lee Sooman-nim put them, but I’ll give them a heads up when I see them.”

“That sounds good. We wouldn’t want a wild club on our hands, but I’m sure we both had our shares of chaotic club experiences anyways,” he smirked and stood up with Yoona. “Now, do I have to find my own way in or can I just tag along with you, Noona? ‘Cause I wasn’t very prepared for this mission, seeing my lack of infiltration ideas.” He shrugged. It was true, he didn’t expect to find Yoona here, much less be pulled along into this mission. He would leave to be honest, but he couldn’t just ditch Yoona. What if something went wrong? Even if he knew Yoona could handle it by herself, he still wouldn’t leave. Besides, it wasn’t like he had anything better to do. So he stayed.

What is Love || Jonghyun & Kai

gunman-jonghyun:

Yeah, it was all because of the merger people lost their teammates, Jonghyun told himself as he remembered Jessica’s and Yoona’s exact same situation. But why hasn’t he had lost his teammates immediately after the merger? It was one thing that he believed in and that one thing he always loved to tell himself as motivation, that all the five of them loved each other as if they were all destined to be together but that destiny was a hoax as they all left one by one. Kai was right though, he should stop thinking about the negatives and start thinking about other things like how to commit to Jieun as he glanced down at the ring he couldn’t give her. But what if, he shuddered at the thought, what if they all came back and he no longer needed Jieun because he only depended on her for company. He glanced at Kai before mentally slapping himself, no, he’s not that type of guy. He’s not the type who gives his heart openly because someone was missing from his life. Or perhaps he was, perhaps he opened up to his four teammates because he had no parents and now that they were gone, he depended on Jieun for the same love and comfort his parents or his teammates used to give. He felt something accumulating in his chest before sighing, hoping to rid of the stone there and said, “It’s hard, Kai. It’s not that easy to get over people you have loved over the years. That’s why breakups are hard to handle too because it’s just not in a day or so you can forget someone completely and besides, I’m not the type who play people for their nice side, I take time to trust them and open up. Just like how I am with you, but only because you’re a good gun shooter and I respect that. Even I am not this open about personal shit with Jieun even though we’re in a relationship.”

But Kai did have a point, you can’t expect things to be like this all the time, maybe one day somebody, anybody, would come back and Jonghyun should be prepared to welcome him back.

“Yes, I’m aware of that, Jonghyun. Why do you think I don’t date? Too many sentiments and too much pain for someone you loved so much. And don’t you think I miss my teammates too? Doesn’t everyone here miss theirs? I trained with them, lived with them, ate with them, played with them. I spent something of my life with them and they’ve become a part of me, too. It’s not like you’re the only one going through this. Everyone is fighting their own battles, but maybe yours is just more amplified. We’ve all been pulled apart by the merger. Don’t tell me it’s not easy to get over someone I loved. I know it’s not easy, but you just deal with it,” Kai changed his position again and was now sitting up against the wall next to Jonghyun. He realized his voice has risen a little dangerously and was now accompanied by an edgy tone. Jihyun, why did she still occupy his thoughts when she clearly proved herself of being a bitch? He was over her, he had to be. He was stupid for being so committed it didn’t do well to dwell on the past. He pushed the thoughts of her away and cleared his throat. Keeping a steady tone, he continued, “And most of the time, I don’t even trust people, but I pretend like I do cause there’s less problems that way. So I guess I should feel honored that you trust me better than your girlfriend. I would say the same for you, but I don’t have a girlfriend so… I trust you more than my parents.” He nodded as if there was actually a legitimate connection between the two.

Black Pearl || Yoona and Kai

agent-imyoona:

Yoona smiled at his words, but that smile became a roll of her eyes at Kai’s pledge. He was lucky that she was on serious business mode that she had no time to slap him twice for being stupid, as was customary between them. Those bruises he got? Those were definitely not from training. The boy hardly injured himself… unless you counted her slapping him hard for being stupid and trolling around as injuries. Call it tough love, but that was how Yoona reminded Kai and the other boys that there was a time to fool around and a time to be serious. “Remind me to slap you twice when we get back to the building.” she snarled as she stared at the man they were after. “I swear, I will slap you silly that your teammates won’t recognize you when they see you.”

When she was asked about what kind of lead she was supposed to be after, she only had a vague idea of what was happening. All she knew was that there was something important to the Seekers to be delivered in this club tonight and this man was most likely the one to receive it. What those papers contained, she has no idea. She frowned as she stared at the man some more. “All I know is that the man will be receiving something important to whatever the Seekers’ plans are.” she replied, turning her attention back to Kai. She pretended to laugh at something he said, as she felt the man’s eyes were on them. “And apparently, it’s up to me to find out what it is… but not take it.” she added. “If I took it, the Seekers would be on to us and it would be trouble for the upcoming big mission.”

Kai pouted, “Ne Noona… And I’m sure my teammates will be wondering why there’s some beat up kid hosting their welcome back party.” He doesn’t even know when or even if they’re coming back, but they have to right? He heard some of them were in China for an important mission, but what about the other five? They should be here with him, but instead he’s left to troll the clubs by himself. But even if they were all here, not all of them would join him. However sometimes if he begged, he could get Sehun to go with him and then get scolded the next morning by Suho for bringing the maknae out. It wasn’t his fault that he agreed though…

“Ah, I see,” he nodded and continued watching him. The man was just walking around. Suddenly, he stopped and looked around him as if to make sure no one was watching. He walked to the set of stares that were barred off by a red velvet rope. There stood a man who greeted him and signaled for the guard to let them go up. The man kept his suitcase by his side, away from the other as they walked up the stairs, disappearing from Kai and Yoona’s sight. He nudged her, “So what now? The only way up is the stairs and we need to pass the guard, or at least distract him, right?”

Two Moons || Kai and Naeun

agent-naeun:

She continued to eat her ramen quietly, not noticing the bit of soup that splashed on her cheek. When Kai wiped it away, she felt herself blush a bit, embarrassed that she didn’t notice before. “Yeah, its delicious!” She said cheerfully. She eyed he softly and smiled. “How about you? Seems like you are.” She said with a small chuckle, and continued to eat her ramen. She took a small sip out of her strawberry milkshake. She wished she had gotten out more, shes always stuck inside Seoul Inc, and barely had any friends. She tried to make some, but they ended up just turning their backs against her. But with Kai, maybe she could trust him? She wasn’t so sure yet, but he seemed like a nice guy. She just wasn’t sure if he was capable of being a good friend, since she doesn’t know him too well yet. She shrugged the feeling off and ate quietly.

Kai smiled at her slight blush and nodded, “Yup, it’s pretty good.” He continued eating his ramen and soon finished. He saw that she was almost done, too and waited for her as he checked his phone. Nothing. He glanced at Naeun. She seemed like a nice girl. He hoped that he wouldn’t get her hopes up to just to break her heart like all the other girls because unlike the others, he actually got to see her again. She wasn’t another random stranger he could ditch without worrying that he might see her again. She was his co-worker. How was he supposed to avoid her then? But then again, how could you know Kai without knowing that he was a player? L.Joe probably made sure that everyone in the building knew of it. It was his infamous image.

Black Pearl || Yoona and Kai

agent-imyoona:

“For Sooman-nim’s sake, this lead better be important.” Yoona said as she took another sip of her drink. “Honestly, I wouldn’t put it past the Seekers to be pervs drugging harmless people just to attract attention and see if there’s an agent out to stop them.” she added, humoring Kai’s comment. Although he seemed rather irresponsible and easy-going, the little “Kkamjjong” was actually one who took his work seriously. His flippant attitude and comments were just his way of dealing with the load of the work. She knew this since she was one of those who helped train him and his team. But Kai was the one she was closest to that he became the brother she never had; that no matter how old (and tall) he got, she would always see him as a little boy.

Upon hearing that it was her fault for his late radar, she stared at him in mock outrage. That child-like expression did not fool her one bit. “In my defense, I was ordered by the higher-ups not to corrupt any of you kids or else they revoke my assistant mentorship over your team.” she said with a laugh. “I’m glad you approve of this turf, Kkamjjong. I might actually hand over this kingdom to you, now that I’ve turned over a new leaf.” She laughed some more as she downed another drink. As she set the glass to the table, she could have sworn she saw someone who looked like those men in that bio-data Sooman-nim had her look over. “Kai,” she whispered, suddenly sitting up straighter and her eyes suddenly more vigilant than usual, “you think he’s among them?” She pointed toward a blond man wearing a blue Armani suit, carrying a briefcase which looked like it could contain drugs or weaponry. “Maybe this man has the lead we’re after.”

Kai chuckled, “That’s true. The Seekers are always so tricky with their motives. You wouldn’t know if they were actually messing around or just leading you on a false trail.” He took another sip of his drink and swirled the bottle around, watching the alcohol inside spin. Hearing Yoona’s defense for not showing this club to him earlier, he replied, “Well, then I’m glad you didn’t, I guess. I wouldn’t know how to survive those years if I didn’t have my Noona as a mentor.” Kai grinned at her and gave her a small nudge. His expression soon turned into mock joy when he heard that he could one day rule this turf. “Wow, I feel so honored, Noona. Me taking over this kingdom that once was Princess Yoona’s? I don’t know how I’ll ever be as great as you were, but I promise I will try my best.” He held his right hand up as if taking a pledge and smirked. He knew that one thing Yoona hated the most was stupidity but that never stopped Kai from being cocky around her. People think that all the bruises he got during his trainee days were from training but most of them are actually from Yoona. He was just looking for trouble.

Hearing Yoona whisper his name in a more serious voice, he straightened up as well, becoming alert. He followed Yoona’s finger to a professional looking man with bleached blonde hair holding a hard-shelled, silver briefcase. “Maybe…” he mumbled in agreement, focusing on the man. He pushed Yoona’s hand down as the man looked their direction. Kai quickly turned away and pretended to engage in an animate conversation with Yoona. The man looked away, too, and continued to scan the club like he was looking for someone. “So did Sooman-hnim tell you what this lead was about?” Kai asked Yoona, wanting to at least know what they were supposed to be watching for.
